Best-laid plans... but it gets worse. Theoretically, so much free time during the holidays, UNLESS you're smack in the middle of buying and selling a house, AND you promised to deliver a 1-hour presentation on Buddhism in America (don't ask). In short, a recipe for total disaster for my writing plans. I deserve to contribute to my appropriately-named anti-charity, whose name I can't bring myself to mention.

Got/getting it done. There's nothing like not working for getting things done.

Despite the insanity of buying and selling houses - or maybe because of, as in "escape from the insanity" - I put in enough hours to pull it off, though barely. Really looking forward to today through Jan. 1 or 2 or 3, when I have to get back to work, or whatever one calls the wrapping up of a job, career, life-in-higher-ed, and so forth.

El Paso over the weekend, house prep still ongoing - it just wasn't gonna happen. Things have GOT to change...
