Cook 2x a week, every week, until I... Star this Commitment
Week 8 of 8

Deej M commits to:
I commit to cook two times a week until I complete the sixteen cooking recipies in "The Domestic " section (DOM) of the book, "The 4-Hour Chef", by Timothy Ferriss. I'm doing this in order to gain skills in the kitchen and eventually spend less money eating out, becoming more independent and becoming a healthier version of myself with choice and knowledge about what is going into my body.

I've been cooking 2x a week, meals that I learned and varitations of those meals I've already done from the book this past week. I'm going to do 1 meal this next week to ease back into this process. Its not that I'm pressed for time but the money. 1 new meal a week for this week and maybe next will not hurt

Steak. Need I say more? This was one of the most delicious things I've had to make so far. Ribeye: There are several steps, but I aged this meat in the fridge unwrapped for 3 days, salted it overnight, rinsed, rubbed with a halved garlic clove all over. add some salt to outside, put in freezer for 40 minutes to dry it out, heat cast iron pan for 5 minutes on high, add grapeseed oil, sear the shit out of the meat then place on top of rosemary and throw that baby with a probe thermometer into the oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit, once internal temp reached 135 degrees we're done! Long process.
The 2'nd thing I made this week was an egg boiling experiment. Boil for 6, 7, & 8 minutes and the yolk will come out to different consistencies. The 6 and 7 minute eggs were the best to me. More soft. I'm going to get some truffle oil to put over the top of my eggs since I read that its supposed to me damn good. Truffle oil is supposed to be like a cheat ingredient that you can add to a lot of foods to make it taste really good without trying that hard.

Every week is getting more fun and WAY more decicioso. The first plate you can see is the Bok Choy Chicken. So freggen good and extremely easy to make. Steam the meat with the veggies, mix a few ingredients for the sauce, add some lemon and whappah!

The Salad was the easiest thing I've had to make so far, and it was so damn good. Had to buy some sherry wine vinegar to make this salad. Will definitely be making variations of this salad by adding meat eggs and the cashews I have left over from the cauliflower mash.

Next week... steak, pro style hard-boiled eggs, and a surprise.
