I completed my challenge!!! I lasted 7 weeks of drinking less sugar drinks and tons of more water!! There were times when an extra cup of coffee or a "flavored" drink was desired at the beginning of the challenge. As I continued to commit, it got easier and easier to drink water and enjoy it. Plus become healthier with eating as well. The only issue I really had was with drinking water, having to go to the bathroom is a problem when you are a teacher and you cannot just run out of the room. This commitment has been a life change and will be something I continue to embrace. |

week 5 down and this is a breeze! I'm loving my decision to start drinking more water, this is a life change! |

week 4 done and another success! Drinking more water has gotten easier and second nature, especially since I only have water at work so it is easily accessible at work. Feel good and thinking this will be a goal I will be able to continue even after this commitment. |

Ok so 3 weeks in and still going strong and it is becoming much easier to stick to the 2 sugar drinks per day. There have even been days when I have only had just a coffee in the morning and water the rest of the day and I am feeling GREAT!
As I mentioned last week, I am also starting to eat healthier too, so I am feeling good and happy with my progress, even during stressful situations. On my teacher desk, I have a jar of chocolate that says "keep calm and eat chocolate" but this week, even with some stressful situations, I only had a hershey kiss! ONE! I was better to grab my nut mixes and fruits that I brought with me. I also do not bring extra snacks, whatever I pack in my lunchbox is it. I used to always keep snacks and drinks in my classroom, but no more snacks and just water bottles are stored in my room. It's a new, healthy me! |
