| I did 800 words total but I fell short! On the bright side, I now have the finished rough drafts of 3 of my 5 main stories and a half-finished rough draft for my 4th main story, AND the rough draft for the prelude. So I'm pretty content at the moment :3 | |

| You fell a little behind, but the overall word count is what it would be if you did 200 per day. Doing 800 today was a bit hard but it worked out! And you have a couple other nice stories to put in the collection now because of this. YAY | |

| Hey! So I stuck to it on Thursday (just barely) BUT I have been TERRIBLE and have fallen behind three days for various reasons. Which means that today I need to play catch-up with 600 words. Really, I know the problem is that I need to finish Swallowing Stones and the story is hanging over my head. I haven't known where I want it to go and the characters are falling flat in dialogue because I don't know them well enough. So right now I'm mapping out the story---theme, character backgrounds, general plot, important motifs, where is the tension coming from? what are the differing desires of the characters involved that make them bump heads/add tension? etc--so that I get over this paralysis. Additionally, I'm making a one-day goal on here: to finish Swallowing Stone's rough draft today. Admittedly I've been doing better than I'm giving myself credit for. So far I have finished rough drafts for 2 of the 5 stories, and the prelude at the beginning of the story AND I'm a good deal into 2 more of the 5 stories (so really, I just have one more to go from scratch). But I really need to get over this fear of finishing Swallowing Stones! Wish me luck. | |
