Absolutely! I can be completely honest and say that in the past this was an issue and something I had worked on. And currently address when ever the feeling arises.
A feeling of Under Appreciation is a matter of perspective and can be address by taking ownership of my feelings and my mindset.
I can ask the question now - “What would be like if I did get appreciated for all my hard work?”
This is a question I asked when my CEO decided to not pursue investments in cryptocurrencies. In my opinion this was a incorrect decision and my reaction was to aggressively plead my point of view. That question allowed me to reconsider my instinct and focus more on the primary objective of adding value. I felt that this was to drop the idea of my version of investment and concentrate on other forms of adding value.
Working extra hours without being asked, arriving on time and showing up when no one else will show up & looking for others to assist with their assignments. It is possible that my actions and effort isn’t recognized, however - A fear of under appreciated work should not prevent me from doing what I feel is the right thing to do.

At some point you may start to feel under appreciated. If or when that happens, remember that everything you're doing here is certainly being noticed. Your proactiveness is outstanding! |

Recently i found myself look into areas that can be easily accomplished with my work schedule. One day I finished early and assisted another crew with completion of their site task because they had a long day already working 10 hours by the time I finished my shift. I feel that doing small things to save other coworkers on time is a great way to demonstrate value and build up the mindset of team work. |

The past week has been interesting the fact that I notice that my supervisor has been assigning me to sites with less work and passing on the more active assignments to other coworkers. Both sites and assignments have the same amount of exposure in the sense that doing a good or poor job will get noticed. Of course I used the extra availed time to set the bar of work higher and preformed an excellent job while on the sites.
An assignment popped up for travel and to work with a client known to be difficult to work with. Naturally, everyone was hesitant to pick up the assignment. Naturally, I saw this as an opportunity to add value! |
