Btw, some questions for readers might be, "What does an '80/20, Parkinson's Law'-conscious schedule look like? What's your process? How does it look like?" If I get actual questions like that, I'll answer it (possibly with pictures and/or video).

I scheduled in an "80/20, Parkinson's Law"-conscious fashion for today. I'm seeing myself absorb more information, get more done, and feel generally more satisfied with my behavior. That said, some tasks are scheduled just right. But, I'm guessing there's a quadratic (or higher) polynomial predictor for usefulness of a deadline. Too long, and it becomes unsure:

- what priority tasks and higher will be executed
- how long will be given to each task
- when each task will be done specifically

Thus a lot of time becomes wasted and unused. But, tasks require a set amount of time (and other resources), given my current equipment. Too short, and you simply can't get it done. So, I'm thinking of going through a process where I schedule a bunch of tasks at 20% of the estimated time. Then, I* increase the time allotted to it by 1-2 times each time a schedule it. That is:

- I think my execution could have been better, it's achievable. Just schedule it again for the same amount as last time. (OR, I simply got a bunch of it done, and I only need another identical (or smaller) segment of time to achieve it.)
- I think it's not achievable in this timeframe, given my current toolset. Increase allotted time for this task, in the next scheduling.

Btw, a self-image boost preceded my ability to also follow through on this slightly insane schedule. I think most people need to "see themselves better" before they're able to do something like an "80/20, Parkinson's Law"-schedule consistently.
