| I must have been insane to think I could lose weight over the holidays. So, yeah. Unsuccessful week. But the good news is that now I've got nothing in the way of really hitting the diet hard. No more money next week, John. | |

| After a rocky first week and a major vacation last weekend, I've finally hit the best couple of days so far in terms of really maintaining a caloric deficit. Managing things over Christmas won't be easy, but if I can just be selective about choosing small treats, I think I'll be okay. | |

| Not a *great* start. Met my goal, but the weekend was a wash, due largely to hosting a party and then having a *ton* of delicious snack food around on Sunday. It became a cheat weekend instead of a cheat *evening*, which is a big difference. Still: momentum has begun, and I have largely stopped eating after supper. This week will have one big cheat evening... at the Mai Kai! I am going to enjoy the hell out of that time and try to lean much harder into being disciplined for the rest of the week. | |
