I hereby commit to read for at least 3.5 hours per week (FOR PLEASURE). This can include both fiction, non-fiction, and poetry, but it cannot include journal articles or anything related to work. I also loosely commit to widening my literary tastes.

Para que sepan los que no sepan, soy bilingüe. Esta semana, leí unos libros escritos en español: El Aleph (del universo Borgiano) y Corazón tan Blanco (de Javier Marías). In addition, this week I finished Oil Kingdoms, read all of “Failing in the field” (written by stickK founder Dean Karlan), and started “the Satanic Verses” by Salman Rushdie. Next in my ever growing summer reading list are: “The Gift of Global Talent”, “Challenging Beijing’s Mandate of Heaven”, “Ganges: The Many Pasts of an Indian River”, “Cities: the First 6000 Years”, “The Empty Throne”, “Cien Años de Soledad”, “Infinite Powers”, and many more! |
