I used the Stephen Covey program to establish goals in health (weight and exercise), financial well being (a budget and tracking of expenses), work (in my roles as Dean, faculty member, fundraising) and spirituality (with a goal of prayer/meditation 3X daily for a range of desires) and the beginning of my dissertation writing. All in all a pretty good start. I followed through in several key areas.

Realizing that my happiness is up to me and it's ok to focus on me. I do not need to nor can I make anyone else happy, it's up to them.
