Commitment Journal what's this

13 Mar 2010 02:56 PM

Well I did pretty good this week. I did miss the gym on Tuesday, however, I am making up for it by going today. I have started a food journal to track the calories and fat I'm taking in.
I have 2 areas that are really giving me a hard time to get rid of: the area right over my abs so you can't see that I have a 4 pack right now and the upper arms. I have noticed that the arms are improving slightly but the stomach....is not.
I'm just gonna keep working hard.
Otherwise....life is been pretty hard. Job hunt isn't going anywhere. Money is running low, close to empty, which means I'm gonna be needing help from family....again. And on Thursday I was denied insurance coverage from the government plan that says you won't be denied for pre-existing coverage. So life is going to be pretty expensive for me now and I can't go to the Mayo Clinic now which I've been waiting for, for months.
Booooo.....

6 Mar 2010 02:49 PM

I went to the gym every single day this week. My weight is now 106 with a BMI of 5.5% so I'm pretty happy with all that. I've attempted to "diet" but lost too much weight so stopped that. I am not trying to eat less salt, which if you know me is the hardest thing EVER, and reduce my sugar intake in an attempt to get rid of that stubborn layer of fat over my 4 pack abs. :) Hopefully it works...
Scott and I are doing well. I think everyday we grow closer and I love him more than anything. Everyday I am happy that I have him in my life.
Over the last year that I've had to deal with my "bum" right leg my confidence and self image has really gone down. I have made some changes to help like by spending more time on doing my make-up and hair so the focus is my face, not the way I walk or the brace on my leg or the cane I use to help me walk.
I am looking forward to the next very busy weeks till Amber and Bill and Kim and Joe get married. So happy for them both.

I did fantastic and I am proud to report that my BMI has gone from 9.5 to a healthy 5.5! Yippy!
I am also proud to report that Scott and I are as strong as ever and have made it through yet another struggle, me not having an income. :) I am so thankful to have him in my life.
With regards to my work life...I'm trying very hard. Spending about 4 hours on the computer everyday just searching for a job.

I do feel that I was successful this last week with my goals. I've found new ways to make-over and make healthy meals I love that aren't typically healthy. I went to the gym literally every single day. My sweetie and I are doing fabulous. I haven't found a job yet, though. That, at this point in time, takes top priority in my life.

13 Feb 2010 01:12 PM

Although I wasn't in the gym everyday working out and sitting at home sorting out my life and "saving" money I was enjoying my time with my sweetie and two good friends atop the Smokey Mountains in TN. Besides the failed attempt to leave on Wednesday and the scariness that followed I really feel I still succeeded this week because:
- I pushed myself to really face my problem with my knee and right leg in general
- I faced the one issue that bothered me the most, the stares I get when walking down the street with a brace on my right leg and a cane to assist me in walking so I don't hurt myself. Got a lot and I was so happy with who I was with I didn't care one bit and just smiled back at everyone.

10 Feb 2010 02:57 AM

I wasn't successful because I was on vacation and vacation is where a diet exists or exercise. :)

30 Jan 2010 09:29 PM

Doing good. Been going to the gym 2 days on a day off, 2 days on, a day off. I unintentionally lost 4 lbs but I'm sure it's stress from dealing with being unemployed, broke, and this lawsuit stuff.

23 Jan 2010 04:08 PM

This week I was very good. I've not lost anymore inches but I've gained 2 lbs and I beleive its muscle so that is good news. I applied for school, University of Phoenix, and hopefully can get back within a few months. I hopefully found an attorney to represent me, fingers crossed. And Scott and I are fabulous.

16 Jan 2010 04:31 PM

I made it to the gym each day this week except Wednesday and have, so far, lost a total of 2 inches off my hips and waist and a 1/2 inch off my upper arms. I'm eating lots of fresh fruits and veggies. My relationship is fabulous and we enjoyed a lovely date night out to the circus last night. I have a second interview lined up on Monday so fingers crossed.

9 Jan 2010 09:56 PM

Although I encountered a slight set back financially due to the loss of my job on Friday I am proud to report that I visited the gym 4 times and Scott and I worked out some things that came up over the week. I also signed up for sewing lessons today pretty excited about learning how to make my own dresses, dress pants, and coats.
Next week I plan on working out 5 times, something to do in the mornings, looking for a job, and spending time with dog. I also visit the Mayo Clinic on Wednesday for some tests.
