"Strengthening Family Ties" I commit to:
spend a few minutes at least four days a week to connect with family members, whether at their Facebook or more personally. When I find myself doing something much less important than my family, I will actively work on immediately changing my activity to something that involves my family in some way.
good family stuff this week, but still can do much better!

I needed to get back on Facebook so I could stay in touch with extended family better, but I didn't do it. I'll do it this week.

Although I didn't do a well as I want to in the future, I did more than fulfill this commitment. And as with most things that are important or that we feel impressed to do, it felt deeply good to do this.

This is something I need to work on most of all! I find myself hesitant to involve myself too much with things that are actually very important (like strengthening my family relationships) because I fear I will become overwhelmed with expectations and commitments that I won't be able to meet or live up to--the end result of which would be that I don't have a very strong relationship with someone.
So instead, I do very little to strengthen those relationships, and end up with--NOT HAVING A VERY STRONG RELATIONSHIP WITH SOMEONE.
Does that even make sense???
I didn't think so either. So that's why I'm here, actively working on this. =o)
