Complete a chapter of a comic. Learn how to construct scenes, conflict and characters. Set up the exposition and inciting incident. Transfer that into a readable draft. Hopefully around 12 to 19 pages, as expected of a real comic. Use color keys to convey tone. Practice expressions and setting sound effects.

IVE REVAMPED EVERYTHING it didn’t read much like a story with Master just “explaining” that it sucks to be poor so I rewrote it and now I’m wondering how much I can exaggerate the stakes. On the other hand Ave has become more of a second place character. Is he even the right character for the main? |

Freaking Out Halts in Production Dear Stickk I managed to reconnect with my friends but I’m afraid I’ve made two horrible mistakes The first was asking for criticism. Now I know I should get used to it and criticism is better than sucking but it’s been a blow to my confidence! It’ll rebuild. Two Well now that I’ve reconnected I wonder / don’t wonder if they read these journals but I wonder if these candid snapshots of my life are what motivated me to keep going. That’s all for now I’m worried about meeting my own production deadlines! Xx |

Act 1 It looks to be about 9 pages for Act 1! Well, three of them were set up, so really, there's only 6 pages per act. So then, Act 2 - which is shorter - will probably be 5 pages; then Act 3 and then... AH! I'm so excited. Maybe I won't sleep. |
