"Achieve a Single Digit Golf Handicap" I commit to:
Achieving a single digit golf handicap by January 2011 and beating Dale Barina in a 36 hole match (no strokes).
Congratulations on your progress. You have really stuck with your plan and will play great in our match and will no doubt get to a single digit index in 2011.
Well done - we'll have fun in our match.
Short game changes seem to be a challenging some old techniques but should pay off in the long run. OVerall, the swing looks good and is getting more consistent and repeatable. Keep up the good work.
This is my final report. In the last 18 months, my index has gone from 18 to 12. Excellent improvement. Although did not reach single digit, I'm well on my way and confident it just a matter of time to getting to single digit index.
Terrific lesson last night. We started working on the final piece to my swing - compressing the ball. It will take some time to get it right, but it is huge milestone to reach this point.
I'm excited for my match with Dale. Regardless of the outcome, I feel like a winner due to the improvement in my game, but more importantly - golf is fun again!

One step forward, then a couple back. Handicap coming down 12.3, but it is slow going. More practice opportunity this week in Florida.

Lesson last night. Club bit off plane, so worked on getting it back. Tim gave me set of short game drills.

Played twoce this week in Florida. Hit the ball very well both times - so encouraged by my game.

Lesson this morning. Worked on pivot and discussed practicing with a purpose. We also review my stats - putting is outstanding, but GIR needs to improve from 25% to 50%

Good lesson today. Shorten the swing and keep the club behind my hands at the top is key!

Played gof today - windy and very cool conditions. Struggled on first nine with 47, but played very well on back with 40. Only 12 putts on the back! Skunk champs - again.
