25/04/2023 hanon ex1 RH ascending legato practice, found comfortable LH looks harder, definitely not smooth though. Will try staccato tomorrow Czerny 17, really comfortable now with bars 1-8 played through a few times Beethoven Got comfortable with triplet chords and as written for middle voice 10-15, experimented with adding upper voice but need to tinker with the fingering to accommodate the melody, not comfortable but should get there fairly quickly |

22/04/2023 Czerny 17 still practicing bars one and two focusing in building independence to allow me to play smoothly, struggling when moving up to and down from 3rd and 5th finger Beethoven played through 1 - 8 a few times, feels good but a couple of areas of challenge still: Bar 8 c octave in final triplet needs work to be comfortable Melody is not really standing out Still making mistakes on the Bflat octave triplet in bar 6 Also practiced chords bars 9- 13 in RH and played triplets chords together with LH and feels ok |
