Overall doing a good job. Basic rules, avoid uncomfortable bloating during the day. It is happens. My tummy was moving its contents by late morning. I could feel it, by 3-5pm, de-gassing as usual to move it all down for dinner. I did have roasted carrots for breakfast/EBC and lentils for lunch. Less pressure on uterus and bladder is the goal. Dinner is dinner. Basic rule. No such thing as post dinner treats or meals. I get my fruit carb for the day. Stick to no more than 1 1/2 to avoid post-meal overload. Yes, portion control. I'm doing it!

After my dinner last night. Tom came home, didn't want his chicken/brocc so I ate it.
I was feeling....like I needed something else. I tried to resist, but I could not...i reached for a ginger chew. Weak will. Maybe. But i know myself. I don't want to go nuts and go downhill without a backup plan. Low cal enough to watch my post-dinner calories, but a bit of sweet (like my digestive enzymes and bee pollen) so I don't go too crazy off no sugar. Still the overall carb level is low Im sure Im not exceeding 100gm during the day. That's where I want to be Sundays through Thursdays. Get a good burn on Fridays, enjoy my allowance on Fri and Sat (need more cals anyway).
Tonight ate heavy pork chops w spinach and cheese for staff meeting. Definitely sitting in my stomach, but had to get my emergency ginger chew. I'm good! not hungry and at the in-laws and haven't raided their fridge. I really think too much carbs do leave you hanging dry, "starving" and desparate. A vicious cycle of craving more. No more post dinner MEALS. No more. NO more fruit plates. On occasion, ONE piece of fruit. No more nuts. EVER. No reason. Too heavy for night and bloats me. Or if I reconsider 1/4 cup on Thursdays to save carbs and enjoy my weekend workouts. Belly looks better, less burping. Not perfect, but maybe I can wear a regular outfit without looking pregnant.
so proud I left potatoes behind at dinner, they looked so crispy! Yum! But all I kept thinking was, is this really going to be the best bite of my life? Is it worth staying bloated and big butted for a bite of potato?
of course not!

I just wrote a whole thing that disappeared.
Revelations: Fill up on veggies. If I am really hungry, I will be full.
Once full, no NEED for indulgences...why, I'm full, and I just had a meal. I don't need a second meal!
Once full, reality sets in, a fruit is a piece of fruit, not something that will make my life better. It is actually not an indulgence, only eat it if you're hungry. Can try this next Wednesday and Thursday: fruit days.
Aim for PV on Sundays thru Tuesdays.

I just finished dinner. Cooked 2 salmons, a big broccoli bunch, 2 zucchini's and 1/2 red pepper. I got 2.5 full then nibbled off some of salmon 2. by another 30-45min, I totally needed the fish and leftover veggies to satiate me. It always took me a long time to feel full. That's a fact. My witching hour is after dinner because of the sugar craving vs the sugar expectation. With its addiction, I can't stop eating it, combined with how long it gets me to be full, and the calories make it a less than ideal option for long term health and weight managment. There was a slight amount of angst before I finished up all the fish/veggies, bc I knew I still wasn't satisified. Now I am. The moral of the story: eat more protein/veggies until I am actually full.
How do I cut down on sugar cravings? Make it possibly my Sunday through Tuesday routine. It is actually very doable, once I realize I am not starving my self. I am consuming less calories because the bulk of my veggies fill me up for a tiny amount of calories. Less gas, so my stomach and GI tract will digest and feel better over time. Tuesdays are late days, i probably don't need late night sugar anyway. This opens the door for a hearty and healthy breakfast on Wednesday. I can't afford to be hungry at work for 5 hours. I can start thinking about my little pancakes again, or occasional spinach and egg cups.
