So. It has been hard doing this considering all the life events I've had to face and the stress eating and binge drinking that follows from that. That's really been my worse enemy: the booze. I'm desperate now, so this week I'm ramping up the Low GI thing and basically just doing a straight up cleanse. Whether I can commit to doing this the whole week next week (23/07-31/07), we'll find out! Should be a grueling exercise.

So I failed last week and gut-wrenchingly watched as I submitted my failed report, knowing that I'm contributing to the NRA. I was tempted to lie, because I can't stomach the mere idea of such sponsorship, but I know if I lie in my report, this whole exercise comes crumbling apart. What's the use, right? But then that made me think, what check and balances are in place (this one's for you Yale grads that thought about this app...) to make sure that people ARE indeed following through their commitments and not simply lying their way through a secured contract while slacking off irl in order to avoid having money deducted from their bank accounts (in the case of an anti-charity / friend bet)? Needless to say, I failed at this Low GI thing today. It was my aunt's birthday and her birthday lunch was spectacular. Almost as spectacular as my failure to stick to my diet today. I will say HOWEVER, that despite this deviation, I stuck to a fast and didn't eat anything beyond 2pm (except for coffee and stevia...). Hopefully that counts. Ugh.

Great. I was doing so well from last week and then I decided to be a super good gal and stay over my grandma's house tonight and tomorrow which pretty much ruined my diet. On the way home from work and stuck in a three hour traffic jam, we slowly came to realise we won't get home in time to have a proper dinner, at which point my aunt decides to get drive thru. I insisted on a wrap which took us to KFC and before I knew it, I was eating a twister with a side of fries which isn't exactly the Low GI fast food option I imagined. Welp. Tomorrow's another day. But staying with family and knowing their diet, I'm pretty sure tomorrow will be another write-off. Sad face.

Been pretty good at keeping this up 5 days a week. Mostly because I've been out of the house and don't have much temptation at the office. It's gonna be a bit harder to stick to five days this week with my friend coming to town, but the gist of it is to keep it going M-Th then Sun. We'll see.
