This week has been especially difficult due to the amount of school work and studying I have had to complete but I found my meditation time especially helpful as well. I purposely scheduled my meditations to be "breaks" in studying so that I could recenter my mind and refocus my energy. I found that by inserting meditation breaks into my regular study or work time, I actually increased my productivity and decreased my stress levels. Strangely, I also found that I slept better after the fact. These new findings also meant that I meditated far more often than my goal required. |

While I DID achieve my goal this week, I didn’t realize that I was supposed to be doing weekly reports. I found out this week from a classmate that weekly emails have been sent as reminders but unfortunately did not receive any. Regardless, I’ve been keeping a journal as I assumed I was supposed to be recording my progress. These week was rather successful after a weekend away where I actually spent one of my meditation sessions sitting on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial reflecting on my college experience and looking toward the future. As D.C. is the place that I hope to end up, the reflection session was honestly the best experience I had had over the course of trying to accomplish my goal. My other session was simply spent on the green observing passers by. |

The first two weeks I was dealing with illness and a difficult situation in my personal life so my free time was largely spent seeing doctor’s or on the phone with my mom but I tried to make up for it by increasing my meditation time to 45 minutes and adding a short yoga session to ensure that i was still putting in the same amount of time. |

I recommend that you pick a spot that you go to every time. This could be your room, a spot on the green, outside, etc, but consistency will help you achieve your goal! |
