My eating habits have continued to decline. As of this morning I am 9 1/2 pounds above my low point. I have not had a good week of adherence overall. I had some bread/flour food items and I had several sugar, sweet items and I didn’t eat enough fruit or vegetables or control my food quantities. These were clear breaks re the SickK.com contract. I am not able to say that I closely adhered this week. I fully intend to adhere from this point forward. I accept my penalty because that is what I set as the penalty and the consequence for not following the food contract. I must take this seriously and own what is my responsibility.

Slipping is still occurring. I will need to pay a greater relative penalty. Stopped eating nuts for about 4 days, but had some today, before throwing them out. Too many cheese burger meals with fries. Too many granola bars... need to stop eating them altogether. KEY ACTION: I need to resume consistently filling out Nightly Checklist each day, so I can closely monitor my adherence each day. My focus needs to be on one day at a time. My weight this morning was the highest its been in probably 3 months... I'm up 6-7 pounds from my lowest point. Slippage is dangerous because of how it gains momentum and how my food choices deviate more and more. This is all about me demonstrating integrity... following through with the letter and spirit of the BLE contract. Time to get fully back on track and to start a new, continuing trend of losing weight. The BLE program works if I follow it closely. I can do it!

I am doing the program somewhat closely, however I have gotten into eating periodic granola bars and I have eaten quiche on numerous days as part of a first portion of dinner that then stretches out my dinner time. I did stop eating nuts altogether a couple days ago, which should be quite helpful. I also have eaten more Triscuits than allocated, at times. I plan to continue to tighten up the program and to get back to core food rules for each meal. I had a very bad cold last week after coming back from our recent California trip. I believe this all factored into most of my food variation decisions. I plan to self assess a penalty within the next week, in recognition of these variations. Also with my cold getting better, I believe I will be able to resume exercise in the near future. It has been especially hot and smoky so exertion outside it has not been advisable. I also plan to try to do more work related to meditation, so I can keep my mind calm and in a space where it helps me support good healthy decisions regarding my food. I believe meditation will help me maintain an even mood, which makes food decisions easier.
