Write daily. Min: 5 minutes/1pg/250 words.
Goals: 1. Build reserve of Ch's to publish 2. Develop a sustainable writing practice Priorities: 1. New novel content 2. Postcards 3. Journals (incl stickK reporting) 4. Review/edit, build/document world/characters, add/format multimedia. Concessions for travel, illness, etc., but intention is no recreational social media or online browsing until daily stickK commitments are met.

| Week 8 Report (8.7 - Fri): I started this week off with some good writing, but then allowed myself to got caught up in three audiobooks in succession, and that took over my writing time. I did make good progress in Mango Languages this week though - I'm in the last unit now, though a bit demoralized by Drops randomly resetting my streak around 104 days, though I've kept going despite the setback while I wait on my helpdesk ticket. Haven't made much novel progress this week - met daily minimums through correspondence and logging here, but it's felt like a weak effort, so I'm not ending this commitment on a high note, but the next one starts tomorrow... Just as soon as I finish up this last audiobook ðĪŠ | |

Week 7 Report (8.3): I kept up minimal writing each day last week, but progress seems to be coming slowly due, in some instances, to interruptions but also to procrastination - I'm sure I could be writing more each day, even though I've stayed off social media and kept browsing to a more responsible limit. I'm also conflicted by how much I should be prioritizing language studies (acknowledging that there's only so many hours in a day and time spent on one cannot be spent on another). I think instead of setting a deadline for myself in writing, I should set one in studying Tagalog first and get it out of the way. I'll set up another 4-week writing commitment to keep on the book, but also a deadline for completing my Tagalog studies as the end of this sabbatical and immersion time is nearing. ðŊ |

Thx for the encouragement and support, SiweM! It's good to know there's at least one person out there rooting for me ðĨ° As this commitment is in it's final week, I'll be setting up another longer one soon - I try to set the next one up before the current on me ends, to force myself to keep up the momentum ð #Carrot'nStickK What kind of writing do you do? Any tips or tricks to making a sustainable writing practice? |

7.5 - Wed: today's writing was pretty m'eh. Day was off to a good start, with an early workout and breakfast, but then piano lesson and off-set meal timings and waiting for groceries delivery and everything just kept getting in the way ðĢ I did sign in and write for a few minutes before Dee needed me for math.
