Woke up before the alarm and feeling rested. Amazing how a few night routines and consistent tracking is helping me enjoy above-average quality of sleep. And that is making all the difference to my waking up early.

I love that your goal is being simplified as the time passes. You seem to have more clarity about what you are seeking and how to get there- continually reflecting and tweaking the process. I was comfortably in bed by 10:30 pm - having spent some time in my sleep routine. I woke up an hour before the alarm - feeling refreshed and rested. So, as always, the winding down routine is helping me: a long warm shower, Examen prayer, relaxation, breathing...
If I feel this good with a sleep score of ~70, then a consistent sleep score of 80 must be so overwhelmingly great. I have experienced it only one day. I will keep at this habit to get a sleep score of 80 much more consistently.
I think what brought my score down yesterday were three things: 1) working till the last minute on my laptop 2) having sugary stuff at night and 3) going to bed at 10:30 instead of 10. It is this last point that makes all the difference. I don’t see how I can move to a 10:00 pm sleep right away. But I will see if I can advance my time to go to bed by 15 minutes for a start. |

A conscious effort at sleeping by 10:00 pm, following my night routine resulted in an improvement in scores. Again, I got up before the alarm and am feeling rested which really is aligned with what the sleep score indicates - an 80 sleep score is really the healthy target for me to reach.
Will keep my focus on being in bed by 10:00 pm so that I am asleep by 10:30 pm. |
