  "This week, I've built an approximate plan for the next 2 months (see below). Plus I have finished 2 out of 9 chapters (the longest ones), with the plan to finish 2 more tomorrow (Sunday). Weeks 1 to 3: Finish the beta draft Week 1 - Close out Career and draft Productivity Deliverable: every bullet in the remaining Chapter 3 sections and all of Chapter 4 is turned into written advice in your voice. Verification: no bullet-only placeholders left in Chapters 3 and 4. Week 2 - Draft Emotions and the lighter lifestyle chapters Deliverable: all of Chapter 5 drafted, plus Chapters 6 and 7 (Food/Sports/Body and Beauty/Fashion) expanded from their "to be expanded" state into real sections. Verification: Chapters 5, 6 and 7 read start to finish with no gaps. Week 3 - Finish, patch, and lock the beta version Deliverable: Chapters 8 and 9 drafted, Conclusion written, the two unfinished sentences fixed, and one full read-through completed. Verification: you can export the whole thing as one continuous document labelled "Beta v1" with no obvious holes. This is your hard finish line for the writing sprint.   "I managed to hit my goal of four practice sessions this week, but it definitely wasn't a smooth process. Pushing through the midterms made it a massive mental battle, especially when switching between all new songs. This week really proved to me how powerful stickK's loss aversion mechanism is; when my willpower was completely drained, the fear of failing my commitment was the only thing that forced me to pick up the ukulele. Interestingly though, there was a clear split between the actual habit and the app tracking. While the stakes successfully drove me to practice every day, the bit of laziness after completing the "actual task" made me log my entries late. By the end of the week, though, seeing the goal within reach created its own momentum, making the final sessions feel much easier to start. All my photos and chord sheets have been uploaded to the daily logs for review."

  "Day 4 recap (12/07/26): I officially hit my fourth day of practice, completing my goal for the week. I spent about 25 minutes working on the full chord progression of "Seven" by taylor swift. It’s still a bit rough around the edges, but hearing the melody actually come together feels like a massive milestone compared to how frustrating the start of the week was. Today, there was a genuine sense of progress and I think i have finally gotten around to creating a habit out of practicing multiple times a week. However, I found my logging behavior interesting - because I had just caught up and submitted two late journal entries yesterday, my brain tricked me into a sense of false completion. I felt so satisfied with getting those posts out of the way that I got lazy about the administrative tracking side, completely forgetting to log this actual session until today."

  "Day 3 recap (11/07/2026): I felt completely different from yesterday. Because I had already pushed through the first two days, I noticed a psychological shift today - I felt much closer to hitting my weekly goal of four sessions, which made it way easier to convince myself to practice. I spent another 20 minutes on "Summertime Sadness" by lana del rey, and the muscle memory is finally starting to kick in. The transitions between the chords in the chorus felt a lot smoother than before. This related to the sunk cost feeling and gaining momentum in the habit; since I’ve already invested time and effort into the week, the mental barrier to practice drastically dropped. The threat of losing the stickk commitment acted as my baseline safety net, but seeing the goal within reach became its own psychological driver today. It was my midterm exam being the reason this actual journal entry is being posted late."

  "Day 2 recap (10/07/26): Forcing myself to sit down for day two was a massive mental battle. I decided to try a new song today, "Sign of the times" by Harry Styles but my motivation was incredibly low after a long day of studying. I spent about 25 minutes practicing today but since it's a more difficult song - the physical friction of learning a new rhythm made me want to quit five minutes in. This was a clear fight between immediate gratification and my stickk commitment. Without the commitment, my brain absolutely would have chosen the lazy option of scrolling on social media to escape exam stress. but the threat of losing my stakes completely shifted my internal cost-benefit analysis, forcing me to push through the initial resistance. I’m only logging this now because my hectic midterm schedule completely threw off my routine and made me miss the timely upload window but I was able to stick to my commitment of practicing on friday."
