Well we all made it 8 weeks! I feel so much better and I am committed to keep going. And I have been sober for almost two weeks now. I really do not miss grain (and tonight I had pasta!). I also want to thank everyone for their support over the last 8 weeks, not sure if Nick will create a new stickK for the next couple of months or not, we will see.

So another week with NSNG...I feel great (minus the ankle here and there) BUT I think the NSNG diet helped with the swelling, most of it was gone within 2 days. Saw the doctor yesterday and he said it looks really good compared to when it happened (Nick showed him the picture from the ER of softball sized ankle) and he could tell I was taking care of it. Also haven't had any alcohol since July 4th. Continue taking my supplements and haven't really missed it. Not saying I do not want a glass of wine or a beer, but haven't craved it and since I have to be on crutches that is NOT a good idea! Funny thing was during the 4th of July sampled some things that are not NSNG and I do not miss them. We also got my parents thinking about what they are eating. My dad loved the cheesy biscuits and Nicks brownies, who knew?!! Anyway, I appreciate everyone's support through this and I do not think I will ever go back to sugar or grain. Next health screening I am going to do with Nick and Tucker, maybe Katie should go along too?

I did have some wine and beer this week but I stuck to the food plan just fine. Ate some of my mom's potato salad and did not feel bad because of it. The rest was all in compliance with NSNG.
