Yo, got up today at 7am and edited until now 12:20 with a 45min break for lunch within. I am becoming better and faster with the editing. It doesnt make me that tired as in the beginning. Primarily because I know what to decide and am making decisions faster. I know better what to cut out, when to do it, where to put some transitions and have my presets and standards for some occasions which make the decision-process a lot faster. I put in some call-to actions in the video (wanted to do one with audio for the first time but my mic is at my friends house and my phone just shut down, so I'll implement it another time. Though I like the idea. It's more personal communication with the community.) It took me a LOT of time today to put in different songs, because I downloaded them seperately this time and they didnt fit all together. So I downloaded beat-soundeffect-transitions and tried my best, but it didnt work out the way I wanted. (maybe I should stick more to the editing itself instead of music-editing and just get some 1hour music-versions rightaway). Today I discovered that in actually many occasions it's helpful to not have transitions in, because they are like a "+1" action within the video, which sometimes disrupts the viewing-flow. It's like a "Visual-Drop" but with a missing audio-drop, so it takes out the feeling. Also I discovered, that, cutting RIGHT AFTER a certain action and BEFORE the character moves in another direction, that also takes away such an unnecessary "+1 visual" which confuses the drop at the end, if you have too many of these. The video shall be in a flow. Also, when you want to shorten a scene down into many pieces, it's helpful to ask oneself verbally "what exactly is the next action within this scene?" like in a text. And then stubbornly just ONLY take those scenes, you just wrote down or told yourself verbally, while totally ignoring the rest. Trust that it will be understandable. Later watch and convince yourself. (guess I discovered a huge part of Jump-Cutting right there). Also I managed to start with a bit of storytelling. Really not much. Though, I started by taking away all those end-parts of the first scenes when the beat builds up and made a certain "sneaky mission" atmosphere, until the drop comes. Then I injected a freakin' lot of fast scenes. Matched audio and visual speed up right there. I strongly believe that I will have nice successes with this audio-video-speed-matchup within the next weeks. The pre-cutting of the material went pretty bad though. Last week we decided that the material-creators will also pre-cut their scenes, though they had no time this week, so I took 4 hours yesterday to do that. I managed to pre-cut enough scenes for maybe 2-3 videos. Although my productivity wasnt at it's peak, I had a new technique to do that boring pre-cutting: I just listened to some inspirational videos which I love to do but seldom find the time for it. So yesterday I had about 4 hours for that and within this time took notes on paper. So while I was doing this (as I call them) no-brain-task, I was actually focusing consciously on improving myself personally and THAT's a HUGE WIN right there. That way I combined one of my top priorities in life with my current project and made the most boring and time-consuming part into a pretty fun thing. That was nice. So the video is finished now and ready to upload.

This week was a lot better. Did a lot of pre-work during the week and on friday. Decided for ONE music-cathegory (drumstep), so now filtering music becomes a LOT easier and faster. Also the music is in 30-60min songs, so I have a lot of songs in a matching rhythm there. Talked to our streamers to pre-cut the material and only send me the scenes, so I can instantly start editing. Woke up at 5a.m. in the morning today (even though my girlfriend slept next to me editing stuff, she was proud of me and convinced it wouldnt disrupt her sleep. so i'm pretty grateful for her acceptance and active help whenever i need something. from the boys too, who now do the pre-filtering with the scenes. that way i can totally focus on my most important work.) Did a 5 hour session of pure editing today. Was pretty good. Also the video is longer than the weeks before. I had a lot more fun. The sun is shining now and i can enjoy the wheather (28 degrees today). Much better than the weeks before, where the pressure of stickk.com made me work until late. This week was pretty pro-active and extremely effective in terms of work-time, support of loved ones, and SEO (thumbnail, channel-tags). ONE minus though, we didnt manage to upload last week. Probably because I set up a clear time and day for the editing. But I didnt block some time of my schedule for the uploading-part. (and I didnt want to upload without at least ok SEO done right. -> gotta force myself to upload. then i feel the pain of not having the knowledge -> then i'll have some intrinsic motivation going on for learning about SEO during the week, without cutting on editing-time from my schedule.)

Put more than 4 hours in it. Gotta admit though, that I was at my mobile phone what I consider way too many times. All in all it had been like 10 hours or more for that video. Split up in 3 days. -> if I had less time on phone, I would have done it faster. -> also, try not to "to do" something. But rather try to take an already existing habit. And switch it with editing! (whatever the starter for that habit is, shall be replaced and used for editing.) -> also, I made a plan to split up work upon 5-7 sessions, split up on 7 days. So I have less time, but more focus during those sessions. Plus, this way I can start my day with my most important priority and hopefully feel very good and proud all day long. (That's what I expect after looking at my experiences with fitness the last years.) -> Also, got to admit that the huge cash at stake did motivate the shit out of me today. Even though it was the second beautiful sunny day for the last 5 months or so. Stayed at home, did my work. Now I am proud I did it. And I look forward very optimistic. For the next week and the next month and what time all holds in their hands for me.
