Today I am staying with friends out of town. I had originally scheduled time to write from 8-10:30am but instead I worked from 10:00 till noon and then from 1:30 to 2:00 pm. In the first block, I checked the spelling of a surname in the essay-required library research. Researched the proper title, spelling and capitalization of an award at the UofL and a senior admin position; I ordered a book on Interlibrary Loan (Neil Besner's collected essays about Carol Shields) at SPL (I need the title of the essay which C. Shields wrote for that book before she died and the page numbers for the quote from that essay that cited in my essay). I also made small edits to pp. 18-21. Tomorrow I will continue the edits thru pp. 21-23; and I will check the references to ensure each entry actually appears in the body of the text or in the Endnotes. In my last 1/2 hour of the time allotted, I wrote 2 pages of "morning pages" - a kind of brain dump.

I wrote morning pages (freewrite) for one Pomodoro (25minutes), two pages longhand. I collected documents I need to have printed and coil bound onto a jump drive. I made a list of the revisions/edits/ proofreading do be done on the article "Research That Matters" which I was working on in December. I highlighted references in text and checked the Reference to ensure they appear. I was at my desk from 8-10:30am with 5 minute breaks each 25minutes
