I will concentrate on real world concerns and constructive actions until after I do the following, today: wash sheets and re-make the bed, vacuum the bedroom, and set up and start the new air filter. I will not read, watch, write, or listen to fictional works until after those things are done.

| This one I didn't finish, though I made a good-faith effort to stick to the conditions -- I washed the sheets, I re-made the bed, I set up and started the new air filter, and I avoided all fictional works, but I didn't FINISH vacuuming the bedroom, though I did a really significant amount. So this one gets put down as a qualified failure and learning experience -- in future, I will try to be more conscious of the size of the goals that I set for myself. | |

| Argh. Vacuuming the bedroom SOUNDS like it should take, what, 20 minutes? The sheets are in the washer, and I've done a bunch of vacuuming in the bedroom, and I put the prefilter into the air filter, itself, so it's ready to plug in, but there is SO MUCH DUST in the bedroom that I'd guess that I really have at least 45 minutes more of vacuuming to do, if I really do the whole room. Have successfully held off from fiction, so far, but now wish I'd set myself a more modest goal. | |
