Real-World Experiment Day #29
Star this Commitment
wrkinprogrss commits to:
concentrate on real-world concerns and issues except between 9:30pm and 10:32pm, today. I will not consume any kind of fiction except in that time period. I also commit to trying to notice any feelings or situations that immediately precede any cravings for escape into fiction, at any time when those may occur.
I will postpone listening to any audio-books and watching any non-fiction DVDs until after I have put in at least 4 hours on setup/config job work, today. I won't count this morning's 9:30 meeting toward that total. I will take two 15-minute "Positivity" breaks, today, using ideas noted in my Treo calendar or journal. I will research options for getting to Monday morning's early-morning appointment. I commit to doing ONLY preparation for bed (a little journaling in bed can be part of that) between 10:32pm and 11:10pm, and I commit to being in bed with the lights out by 11:10pm.

| Failed this one significantly: consumed a lot of fiction outside the designated time period, didn't put in 4 hours on designated work project (can't recall for sure if listened to audio books that day, but certainly violated the spirit of the thing), took only 1 of 2 planned Positivity breaks, didn't limit myself to prep for bed when committed, and got to bed way late. | |

| Got some more work time in, but then took another break and ended up watching Hogwatch clips, which seriously breaks the fiction time limit commitment. | |

| Having trouble re-engaging with work after phone meeting with L, ff non-fic break, Positivity break, sfgate ... etc. Guess I need to decide what is my next mini-step. | |
