wrkinprogrss commits to:
concentrate on real-world concerns and issues, today, except that I will allow myself to consume fiction in any form and/or non-fiction audio-books or DVDs under the following circumstances:
- After I have done 3 hours of work on the cnfg/lg project, AND - After I have taken one 15-minute Positivity break, AND - After my 6:00 appointment, AND - If I am hand-washing laundry, or - If I am cooking either soup or homefries/sausage/broccoli-romanesco, or - Between 9:30pm and 10:32pm. I will access restricted sites only in my usual time windows. If I notice and make a note of feelings or situations that immediately precede any cravings for escape into fiction, I'll offer myself a reward of 5 minutes of luxurious stretching, right away. From 10:32-11:00pm, I will only prepare for bed, without audio input, or do a little journaling while in bed. I will be in bed with the lights out by 11:00pm.

| Succeeded with this goal, but didn't get any cooking done--used time planned for cooking to come up to 3 hours on the cnfg project. Not ideal, but probably OK. | |

Again, having trouble in getting myself to do more work after (a) meeting, (b) breakfast, and (c) about 25 minutes of (mostly) non-fic recreational browsing. (I watched a brief Torchwood clip or two without realizing until afterward that I'd stepped over the limit I'd set.) I'm doing constructive things: printer and scanner are working, emailed E re l&l, finished report for tonight's appointment, but not good to be so avoiding work. Another window just coming up, too. |
