Survived Thanksgiving. The real challenge is surviving the leftovers. I believe there were as many dessert dishes as there were main and side dishes. Truth be told, the side dishes could have substituted for dessert. But I've been resisting the urge to partake in the "easy" food, and eat as much turkey and collard greens as I want. There is always a silver lining. |

Still going strong despite a hectic work week. Tomorrow is my first day off in 2 weeks, and I'm so looking forward to it. |

A bit of inconvinence this week with Internet connectivity issues and work schedule changes nearly derailed me. I've been eating fruit like it's going out of style. Perhaps poor meal planning, lack of a set sleep schedule, and no exercise this week also contributed to my poor performance. Heck, I'm sure they did. It seems like I'm still using "sweets" to cope with stress. Time to reign it in and get a grip. |

I only ate fruit one day this week (Sunday), and I was utterly surprised by the lethargy that followed. I felt like I had nose dived into a family sized bag of tropical skittles instead of a bowl of fruit with coconut milk. Strange, but since it was my indulgence day, I went all out. I had 1 banana, 2c of unsweetened applesauce, 2 cupped handfuls of raisins,, and 1.5 cupped handfuls of prunes, spaced throughout the day and consumed with a bit of fat and protein. After eating the prunes at my last meal, I had a belly ache that I thought only hours of mindlessly eating Halloween candy could bring. Next week I'll back off the dried fruit to see how I react to fresh fruit. |
