| Read two review papers this week. The first was a geriatric nursing article discussing the assessment of physical performnce in routine geriatric checkups. The second article was on the association between gait and cognition in elderly people, specifically gait velocity, gait variability and fall risk to executive function, mild cognitive decline and dementia. Additionally, the article discussed the failure of gait interventions in older adults with MCI/dementia, arguing that successful interventions must incorporate cognitive retraining in these populations. | |
