Okay, so I only did a tiny amount of organizing last week, but I have really been trying to work on my home décor, which is part to blame. Either way, I'm trying to get it all together. This week though, I do really plan on carving out more time for actual organizing. A little at a time goes a long way and I know I can do it before the end of the year if I put my mind to it. I really want to start off the new year in a more clutter-free, organized environment! |

Okay...I've done this before, however, I still need to do it again because I don't think I did as thorough of a job previously. This time I have got to get it right and this time...keep it together! Hmmm...which room should I start with??. Probably the hardest room, which is the living room. For some reason it is always the hardest room for me to keep together. I guess it's because it is where most things are stored and it's where I am the most. Well...looks like the living room it shall be! My approach: Give myself a realistic time frame to complete each room. Then block out time in my schedule each day to do as much as I can each day, while at the same time pacing myself. Plan: Complete a room each week. Start with most difficult room then go from there. Week 1: Living Room (Quite frankly, the living room may need a whole week or more my itself!) Week 2: Kitchen Week 3: Bedroom Week 4: Bathroom/Hallway closet Now, I do realize I may be giving myself more time per week for each room, but rather more time than not enough. If I finish a room earlier than expected, that I will graduate to the next room early or treat/reward myself to a much needed break so that I won't feel overwhelmed. Let's see how this goes! |
