| Recibí un monton de libros en español para la Navidad: Cien años de soledad por Márquez, La casa de los espíritus por Allende, Cien sonetos de amor por Neruda... hay mucho que leer! Adicionalmente, empecé a seguir muchos Tucumanes en Twitter y estoy conversando con uno que me envió un mensaje directo por curiosidad. Por eso, estoy aprendiendo muchas palabras y detalles culturales del área. ¡Que chévere! | |

| Spent last lunch with old Spanish teacher trying to practice. Hope to continue that in the coming weeks. Also have been speaking a lot in Spanish with my boyfriend, but not doing as much reading or writing. So I'm just not being very disciplined, as I'm only practicing Spanish when it's convenient for me or when it's what I would do naturally anyway. Again, room to grow. | |

| I met a Venezuelan-American named Victor Hugo. He is a philosopher, and a writer like me. For the past week, we have been Skyping each other every day to teach each other Spanish and English. He is an amazing person, and the hours go by like minutes. I think my Spanish is skyrocketing! I've learned so much already. | |
