I reached out to Jonah, Jim Lynn, and Steve Starr this weekend all of which are very helpful vis-a-vis next steps in going down a Math&CS ed pathway as they are getting me acquainted with UIC's MST program. At ACE, I did talk to a few teachers who e.g. gave me advice vis-a-vis always making sure that th efirst contact with parents is positive, and potentially the ESL certification indeed being very beneficial. I did not talk to as many teachers as much as I may have hoped/thought i would going in.

If I finish the ACE CS presentation, then I very much so will have done something that is contributing to me teaching CS. If not....I knowingly switched away from doing so. I'm also going to a camp that will be chock full of teachers, hopefully, which was one of my deciding factors in choosing to go. I also did not know about in advance/missed the CSTA meet-up, and will be losing the time that I'm working at ACE for other ventures such as 2hJS-ing for CS teaching positions and talking to Jonah and Jim Lynn.

I have been talking with my parents about certification pathways, which is potentially leading to this....and also moving more towards, or at least thinking about, a therapy-oriented career path instead. However, I am one edit away from doing the first step in my application to Noble, which is an action taking me towards working in education, though not the traditional get certified then teach route.

I DO now have a meeting set up with Amy Rodito on Tuesday afternoon, which is a step down exploring the CTE pathway which could also get me in schools starting in the 2019-2020 school year

I also started applying to Noble's Network yeseterday, which pushes me closer to having an opportunity to be teaching or at least educating at some level full-time next year, even if it's in Math rather than Computer Science
