Outliers.
Gladwell uses his unique style of compiling research from multiple places and multiple people to extract piggybacking conclusions. In outliers he assaults the notion of the self made man, the "outliers". He shows that these people actually are a compilation of their previous experiences. Rather than being super humans who overcome every setback and clear every obstacle against all odds they are people whose setbacks are in some cases actually the break they need. Gladwell makes this point quite convincing while still acknowledging that these are people who work incredibly hard. These are people who earn their way but also get incredible breaks along the way.
