This week it was by far the easiest, knowing that the largest form of reinforcement was available at the end of the week. I think the graphing really helped evaluate where I was each day and acted as a reminder of what I needed to accomplish to obtain reinforcement. While obtaining the goal was easy this week, I feel as though it was not as productive as the previous weeks. Outside sources of stress made it very difficult. I think for another goal it may be beneficial to incorporate a workout or other form of stress relief to accompany this goal. |

This week a lot of reading was assigned. I went above a beyond my 2 hours for 5 days. It was not hard knowing that at the end I had a whole day of college football on Saturday. I broke the reading into smaller units to make it seem more obtainable. I also did not want to donate to the University of Michigan. The planner is making this goal much easier to plan out and schedule times, therefore making me accountable for those time slots. It was very tempting to turn on music or the TV while reading for 2 hours straight, but knowing that it is in the contract turned me away from doing so. The limited distractions and organization have made this week fairly easy to reach my goal. I think I could have extended my goal to encompass a more stringent goal. However, prior to setting this goal finding time to effectively study was very difficult. |

This week it was very easy to meet the goal. I purchased a planner, so I can break the assignments into smaller portions and know exactly what needs to be accomplished that day. This has carried over into all aspects. The strongest motivating factor is still giving money to the University of Michigan and knowing that each week I meet my goal leads to being able to have a football party. The motivating factor behind this is that I have not been able to hang out with my friends since starting my master's program. |

This week it was much easier to reach my goal. The magnitude of the reinforcer increasing provided a much larger incentive. I have found that by breaking up studying into smaller segments enables me to retain more information. |
