What a powerful realization! Sorry you have to go through that PMS shit every month. Sounds terrible. Awesome realization though. I love that you have a positive addition to exercise. It's the best anti-depressant available...and it's FREE and brings a whole bunch of other benefits. Can't wait for you to see our new dialed in home gym. I invested about 12 hours over this past weekend unloading the white cabinets and moving a bunch of the black tubs out to the new shed in the yard. Then I organized the cabinets and put all the stuff that was in the garage gym into the cabinets. Now it's 100% a home gym and adventure sports garage (surfboards & mountain bikes) You are going to LOVE it. Can't wait to see you soon. XOXO

First week I’ve missed in a while, but I had a big realization! I was PMSing really bad and was irritable and tired and had no motivation or energy so I decided to skip the gym for an extra rest day (I still had 4 good workouts). By Thursday, I had already taken 3 rest days so I forced myself to go to the gym even though I was still feeling awful and tired and angry. I forced myself to workout and WOW. I felt all the serotonin and energy re-enter my body. My mood and energy completely changed and I finally felt happy and motivated after 3 days of feeling like crap. That was the biggest proof I needed of how much I need to workout for my mental health! I remember mom would always be kinda moody if she hadn’t worked out and I realized I am totally the same. If I wasn’t addicted before, now I’m never ever going back!

That’s what I’ve been thinking. At least I know I’m not going backwards and even tiny tiny progress is still progress :) and I know I’m doing everything right so it has to be doing something

5 great long workouts in the gym. I have a gym split for the first time! Legs, push, pull, legs, cardio. I was feeling really really good but I feel like I've hit a little bit of a plateau. My weight isn't changing and I'm not seeing as much progress as I was at the beginning. I think that's normal though and I'm trying not to let it discourage me.
