| I put money on the line this time because I’m serious about limiting my phone use time. It’s a huge distraction and time waster. I could be doing so much more with my son and around the house. I have done more in the past when limiting phone use but currently I’m having commitment issues. I’m going to food and the phone to meet my emotional needs. When I should be going to God in prayer, worship, reading the Bible and going to family for emotional support. I only intend on checking in here once a week because I do that on my phone. Todays day 1 and I’m starting now in the afternoon. This morning I realized I kept looking at my phone in the middle of my Bible study group with friends. And it was for no real reason. I just wanted to check my messages, look at email, and was even tempted to open up the YouTube app. Which literally made no sense since I should have been involved with the people around me. Highly disappointed in myself on multiple levels! Here’s hoping for a better future with those around me. | |
