As stated in my last report, I engaged in many activities throughout the week that made me happy while also keeping me busy in order to not be "bored" and would eventually lead to endless scrolling on social media. This week I even saw on my phone that for one day my screen time had reduced about 4 hours less than usual. Seeing this gave me a lot of motivation to continue this journey. |

This past week, I found I was able to slightly reduce my screen time. I realized this was due to taking part in more activities throughout the day instead of sitting/laying around all day when I could be productive. Some of the activities I did include cooking with friends, taking leisurely walks around town as well as exploring through paths I had never gone through, and visiting the town's cathedral. |

So far, it has been about a week since I input my goal. Throughout this week, I have done new activities that I have been wanting to do but never got the chance to because of laziness or procrastination. Now, however, I finally got myself to do them because I was challenged to not be on my phone so much. For example, I decided to leave my phone and partake activities such as going to a coffee shop and reading a book, going with friend's to have a coffee, doing dinner nights with friends, going horseback riding, and exercising. I am happy to see my daily usage of screen time slowly but surely going down. I will continue to do things that make me happy and that are not on my phone, but rather with the tangible world. |
