This week was a bit rough because I go sick.

This week was disheartening. I do not know if I'm doing too much or not enough. Before it was simple because I didn't have any choice but to focus on dev work, get referrals, and I could count on my reputation from doing the magazine and my network to get me work.

Since doubling down on CSCI all of my efforts were concentrated on becoming a dev work. At the time there was not immediate cost to stop networking and stop being social. I am paying the cost of that now. I have a feeling, my previous clients didn't appreciate my business closure because they don't seem as interested in working with me again. I thought about whether if I just didn't do a good enough job (which is a possibility) but it seems more likely that they don't think of me as reliable for not sticking with it. Closing my business was the right move for my health back in the day but now I'm not so sure. I am also struggling to build my confidence without actively recieving work. I had forgotten how hard it had been to initially get started. To get people to trust and talk to me. It was partly a popularity contest and partly a continuous demonstration of my ability.
At a certain point you have to admit the person you are now can't do what you're trying to do and make a wholehearted and painful commitment to being different/better.
Anyways.
Things I've done this week:
1) Created a prospect list of restaurant clients
2) Launched website
3) Started building free course to act as a lead magnet.
4) Practiced and executed my new content system which resulted in an increase in views and engagement
5) After talking to about 15 potential clients it's clear to me that the interest in me as a social media marketer is greater than the interest in me as a developer.
6) I have decided to concentrate on social media marketing initially because I can provide the greatest amount of social proof.

Thiis week I also start tracking my hours.

My Primary Goal for Week Two was to get atleast one sale, which I was successful at.
1) I have also been extensively studying Conversion Rate Optimization because that is the most critical part of having a website for businesses. The site I've been using to do this is backlinko.com
2) I was way too much before and I had scale back. So this week I prioritized getting my first sale, applying the CRO best practices for my own website. (see above)
3) A big part of this week was about getting over the anxiety over talking with and contacting clients, to do so I started implementing the advice I recieved from home loans with jess.
4) On a related note Jess has agreed to provide referrals assuming I can provide a demo realestate website to her specification for real estate agents.
5) I've been doubling down on differentiators in my client meetings and positioning myself as a developer who is specifcally focused on helping content creators and businesses who can strongly benefit from a large following to generate sales (realestate agents, lawyers, E-commerce brands)
5) Created a template page that can be used to create lessons faster for courses that will act as a lead magnet
6) Created a 19 question Questionaire for helping people build a brand from scratch
7) Outlined a course for people to become a content creator that is 50 Minutes

Problem Areas:
1) I am still spread thin, but I'm actively gaining more focused
2) Self-care has been terrible.
3) Reliance on tiktok live to deal with loneliness has been a blessing and a curse.
4) I haven't been focused on the fundamental necessities of the business. I forgot to ask the client to sign a contract, and did not have a payment processor ready. This is obviously very stupid, and I'm not sure if adhd or carelessness is to be blamed.
5) I'm making mistakes I've talked clients out of making, and I need to invest in checklists that prevents ADHD related forgetfulness for me to make critical mistakes.
6) I acknowledge my need for a standard operating procedure.
