Writing a 30000 word (including citations and footnotes) draft of my dissertation during the month of November. The quality of this draft does not matter much (although it should be intelligible, and make a sustained argument): what matters is that I actually get it done. Once I do that, Things will be clearer.
I want to treat this as if it were three qualifying papers. I know how to write those.
