Today I had two midterms, both of which were very heavy in material. For this reason, I had decided to not sleep much the night before, so I could study. I had a coffee and a black tea around 1:30am which helped me stay awake and focus on my studies until 6am. I had had a few naps on top of my books while studying so I decided it was time for me to sleep properly, even if it was for an hour. I set my alarm for 7am, put my phone to full volume and then went to sleep. What I did not expect was that instead of waking up for when I had set my alarm, I managed to sleep through all my alarms and finally woke up at 8:54, exactly 6 minutes before my first Midterm. I was smart enough to set out my outfit for the day, before going to sleep, so I quickly go dressed, grabbed my bag and laptop and rushed to school. Thankfully, I got a taxi and managed to get there on time. Even though I did not have a good start, I managed to well on both my exams. I prey I don't find myself in this situation ever again, because I don't know if I will be this lucky next time...
ps; I have not accomplished my goal, but cannot afford to loose more money, so ignore what it says above |

Last night, I had the perfect opportunity to study for two hours and go to bed by 12. However, because I hadn’t slept much the night before and hadn’t eaten a proper meal at the right time, I felt exhausted. Instead of getting ready and going to bed, I once again decided to procrastinate and lay in bed on my phone. It wasn’t surprising when I eventually fell asleep and then woke up in the middle of the night. This time, though, I didn’t even have the energy to get up and properly get ready for bed, so I simply fell back asleep. I finally woke up around 8:40, which gave me enough time to get up and get ready for school. However, since I hadn’t rested properly, I stayed in bed longer, contemplating whether I should go to class or not. In the end, I decided I had no choice but to go. I got out of bed around 9:35, showered, brushed my teeth, got dressed, and left for school. I made it to my 10 a.m. class on time, but at the expense of my already unhealthy sleep schedule. Unfortunately, this was yet another day in which I failed to achieve my goal of getting proper sleep and avoiding jeopardizing it by being on my phone |

This week I did not have the great start, but on Monday night this changed. I decided to put a very strict program into place. After getting home around eight, I first hang some clothes to dry, that I had put to wash before. I then ate the salad I had prep-ed. I then started completing my Statistics asynch. I continued working on it until strictly twelve thirty. I then got up to get ready for bed. I showered, brushed my teeth, did my skincare. To prepare for the next day I packed a meal for school, I made my gym back, also set out the outfit I will wear the next day. I then set my alarm for eight am and then went to bed. I did wake up at eight but fell back asleep and actually managed to get up at 9:16. This did set me back because I had class at 10:00 and wanted to was my hair before. So while both rushing and following a strict time schedule, I managed to shower, brush my teeth, dry my hair, do my makeup ad pack my bags, in just thirty five minutes. I was, so happy and proud when I managed to leave my house at 9:51, which gave me the ten minutes I needed to get to class on time. In addition, I managed not to use my phone for the last hour before I went to bed and for thirty minutes after waking up. Concluding, I successfully managed to go to bed exactly at one am, without using my phone before bed and then slept for eight hours, as well as showering and managing to get to class on time. |

This past weekend, even though I did not go to bed early I managed to sleep for 8hrs or more because I did not have class in the morning and was able to sleep in till the afternoon. Initially this benefited me because I was well rested for Sunday. In fact, I was so well rested that I managed to watch two movies and did not go to be until 3:00 in the morning that night. This resulted into me sleeping for 4-5, as I had to wake up around 9:00 on Monday, for class. Hence, one more unsuccessful attempt to stop procrastinating my sleep and have a proper rest. |
