| Last week felt better on the whole. There was a day I found a shortcut off of the highway that I wanted to share with him because it would help his commute but his loss not mine. Yesterday I went to a friend's house for her birthday dinner and had a ton of fun and completely forgot he existed. Then I had a dream where he texted me something basic and I stupidly replied, and we got back into this exhausting ugly cycle and I felt sad when I woke up. | |

Have been caught in a cycle of breaking up and getting back with my ex for 1.5 years. I now realize we are caught in an avoidant - anxious attachment loop which is quite common. And because of that, it is unrealistic that he will meet my needs without blaming me or belittling me to compromise. 65 days... seems like a long time. I am making this contract to protect from moments of weakness that would short circuit the healing and resetting process necessary for my nervous system to detach. I expect a March 28th - April 5th window where I am tempted to think it's been long enough but it has not been! |
