To make massive progress, I need to pair this with another habit, i.e., traveling on the bus along with walking on the track. Though the progress is slow, I was able to push strategic logic ahead. |

The video book habit only works when I pair it with another habit i.e. the habit that requires me to travel in a bus for over 2 hours to the beach among other long term habits that allow me to watch the phone while travelling along - Anothe rhabit that I can pair with the video book habit is walking on the track near home for hours. These are the two ways in which I can consume more video books. But not sure if consuming more video books is the answer. I don't seem to acquire any new skills or new knowledge by consuming these video books as such. I get access to more books but consuming them is not really making any difference in m life. This strategy of 100 video books is not making any difference - maybe if I consume more books that are technical in nature, i.e., coding books, they may help me go ahead. I have more books lined up after the strategic logic like why smart people make big money mistakes and other interesting books. The psychology of computer programming or the book A Nation of Idiots or the book Business Ecosystems and Keystone advantage and then jump to building browser extensions. There is a huge queue piling up |

I started strategic logic books, and I am able to make some progress, but it has not become a habit yet. I need to find new avenues to blend the book into my daily routine. I need to find new routines other than walking to consume this book more quickly; travelling on the bus to the beach and coming back might help me consume this book more quickly. One of goals was to go to the city everyday and come back from there, and I have not done this goal yet. |

The third book - Strategic Logic has started, and I was able to trudge on when I went for a walk on the circuit. But I fail to see the objective of this move. I am able to spend my time productively by walking around in that circuit and i am able to consume the book only when i walk around in that circle. Will this book yield any new results? I.e. do I get something different than what I was already getting when I was reading an audiobook? I am not really sure. One thing is clear: this audiobook option has widened my options.
I can now cover more complex topics; for example, I can read about strategy, but I was already reading strategy. Many books have no audiobook counterparts, and now I can consume them. But isn't a video just an audiobook with a PDF of images?
Does the video book really push you to read more? Obviously not; a video book does not give you the motivation to read. I am able to add the motivation only
I have not covered more ground because I started video books, but it has given rise to a new way to consume books. I can walk around the park with my phone in my hand and finish a book. Even though I might not be able to consume the same book while walking on a road without falling down or hitting someone, consuming a video book requires access to a park or some walking track where the path is predictable.
I can consume an audio book anywhere, but a video book requires a more controlled walking environment. I think I will be able to cover more ground if i can increase the time i spend on the track.
I have understood how to consume any book, but now I have to understand a purpose, i.e. find a reason to consume those books or manuals and find a good use case. Pretty much nothing useful can be learned by simply reading books. I need to do something, learn new skills, get certified in as many skills as possible, get back to the rat race, increase my net worth, and I need to go back to Hyderabad to continue my journey.
Video books are just a means to an end; they are not the end. I need to find my purpose and video books are the tools to take me to my purpose. |
