Day 1 entry: I made myself sit down and practice right after I got back to my room tonight after dinner. Starting was surprisingly easy because the ukulele was already sitting on my bed. I practiced the song Riptide for 30 minutes since it's a relatively easier song and I wanted to start off with something easy in order to slowly get back into the habit of practicing before moving on to more difficult stuff. The stakes of the assignment being graded also completely changed my level of motivation to actually go ahead with the practice, proving how much loss aversion actually influences my choices. |
