| Elijah and I had a garden day. I'm going to say that counts. He tried to eat food out of the compost pile though. I'll have to teach him that's icky. | |

| We didn't make it to the Botanic Gardens, but we did go for a walk on the trails by the pond by our house. Elijah liked watching the geese. | |

| I have plans to take Elijah to Three Sisters Park this weekend, and to the Botanic Gardens. The Botanic Gardens aren't wilderness, but its still the outdoors. | |

| I love the outdoors, but have not gone hiking once since Elijah was born. I want Elijah to be familiar with the beauty and excitement of the outdoors as well, so he and I must resolve to go out together. I was also inspired by the article in the last issue of Mothering Magazine, which described the all outdoor (rain, snow or shine) kindergarden that is popular in Germany, called Wunderkinder. I wish we had education options like that here in America, but until we do, I will try and fill that need by starting one wilderness day a month. | |
