LizjaneNJ commits to:
Eat no more than 1400 cal per day. I will record my calorie counts for all meals and snacks in My Net Diary. I am allowed to have one small piece of candy, such as one square of chocolate without recording it.. If I eat out I will try to make a healthy choice and moderate my portion, and I will estimate my calorie count as best I can. Green vegetables are free and do not have to be counted.

I hate to be trite and start a diet with the new year, but I am really unhappy about my weight. I think committing to a calorie count will be better than committing to a specific weight loss, because I want to set myself up to succeed. I can't entirely control the outcome, but I can control the process. I do need to get the scale fixed. I am a bit in the dark right now. I am doing well with the process, though. I have been tracking religiously and have stayed within the 1200 cal.

It's difficult to elaborate as much as I wanted in the original commitment. I do not like the way the process is structured. However, if I need to clarify further details I will do so later on. The commitment itself is a broad contract. I will make every effort to stick to 1200 cal a day. I designated 1400 to give myself a little margin of error, especially for unanticipated occasions Or situations where I have to estimate.
