This week, I was able to meet my commitment goal and spend an hour of time with family without electronics on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It helped that this weekend was a holiday weekend but it was also difficult seeing as it is coming to the end of the semester and there is more assignments due. I am happy to have completed this assignment and hope to carry over the purpose of the assignment and continue this goal in my personal life.

Since I determined that I would increase my goal to 5 days per week, I did not meet the requirements this week. However, I was able to be successful on 4 out of 7 days of the week. Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. I am finding that during this time, I am having a harder time finding moments where I do not need the use of electronics. I have felt swamped lately with homework and work related tasks that require the use of electronics. Additionally, to take a "break" I find myself wanting to surf the web or facebook. I need to take more time and spend it with family electronic free. For that reason, I will not be reducing my goal back to 4 days a week and will try and make 5 days of next week electronic free for one hour.

This week I struggled to meet not only my previous goal but the new goal that I had made for myself this week. I was only able to meet my goal Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Therefore 3/5 days that I had set the goal to meet. I think that an extremely busy work week, stress, family issues, and more contributed to not being able to meet this goal. Commuting seems to be playing a large role in the success of my goal as well. I have to commute 3 hours every day which takes away from the time that I have to try and meet my goal.

This week I was surprisingly able to still meet my goal of turning off electronics for 4 days out of the week. I was able to meet the goal Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I realized that during the week the goal is harder to meet because of commuting, homework, work, and other things that I need electronics to do. I would like to increase my goal to 5 days a week this week since I was able to meet 4 days a week for two consecutive weeks.
