| It's difficult to get the practice in during concert weeks, but I managed. It doesn't seem like a lot to practice for four hours, but I play a lot in rehearsals, concerts and lessons, so I am really in shape. | |

| Last week was a bust. Even though I did a lot of playing at rehearsals and the concert, I don't count that as practicing. We had services each evening Thursday through Saturday, and on Sunday, Mom, John and I left early with Aunt Marcy to drive to Evansville, returning late on Monday. Tuesday, I worked all day and taught until after 8, so I was wiped out when I got home. That left only Wednesday, and I managed to get through the extended chromatic scale routine. Since my shoulder is bothering me, I stopped after thirty-five minutes and ran the dog for a lap. As I hit the alley, I realized that practicing like this makes me feel GREAT. The blue mood of the last few days lifted, and I had a feeling of euphoria. | |

| I've set a very easy goal to meet. In the first four days, I knocked out practicing for the entire week. Even though it is minimal, it sure does make a difference. I sound like a monster player in front of my students. Good feeling. | |
