P.S. Later today I will commit to a new writing goal - I just need to work out what it is! |

Well I didn't meet my goal, but I'm OK with that: Taking on this challenge has got me writing again and I'm really excited about this project. The reason I didn't make my goal is that after 20 days or so I realized I needed to do some planning. I had begun writing with only a rough idea of where I was going, and after I reached about 20,000 words, I realized I needed to plan not just the rest of this novel, but I could also see that this was the first part of a trilogy, and that to get the shape of Vol. 1, I needed to see the arc of all 3 vols, and to understand their world. So for the last few days I've been planning, and even though in the early days, I was writing well over 1000 words a day, I know that taking this time out from actual writing will have brought my daily average to below 1000. That's how it happened, and that's why I'm OK with it. A tenner goes to fawnlock. Hurrah! |

The average word count has slipped, as I've needed to do some planning. Will resume actual writing soon. |

Still steaming along, and having to plan ahead too, which is a giddy feeling in this head long rush! |
