What did I do right this week? Four things: Eat Stop Eat on Saturday, bowl of fruit for breakfast, salad for lunch, and easy on the snacking. First time I've lost 3 pounds in a week in who knows how long.

I think that travel, and some unusually strong binge eating impulses, resulted in a .5 lb gain this week. Interestingly enough, my waistline does feel a bit thinner (pants fit easier) so maybe part of this gain has been muscle mass.

I am appreciating the Gabriel Method very much. I have been desiring healthier foods and I've been easier on myself about this whole thing. I do sense that's a pretty important component of success.

Made it-barely-but I started visualization via the Gabriel Method this week. We'll see what impact that has on my progress, but I definitely feel better since starting it. Not as stressed out about things.

So, the failure this week is the product of a couple of overindulging days the weekend following my commitment start. Frankly I'm surprised I even made any progress at all, which is probably due to sticking to my workout program and to cutting back on my wine intake from 2 glasses to 1 and reducing my snacking at night by a bit.
