Losing steam. The real weight loss was in the first four weeks; since then it has been maintenance. Now I'm focused on a trip to Africa. I think I need to reset when I get back, with renewed motivation, more concentration, and a larger penalty. In the meantime, I'm still trying to bike or walk whenever possible and to eat a salad each day.

Stuck to the plan this week. It helped that I had the flu over the weekend, which reduced my appetite.

Down 1.6 pounds this week, down 8 pounds over 9 weeks. I haven't been eating daily salads, which has been a help in the past. Now that I'm feeling better, I'll try to do that again.

1.5 pounds to go to get below the next 5 pound hump, which would be nice, because I've been fluctuating around a 5-pound point for the past month or so.

I'm probably going to Africa in week 12, and will try to stick with it the final week, but am glad that I can have a free week during the second week of the trip. I still have to keep the end goal in mind, so I'll ramp up for 3 more solid weeks (no more money to the NRA!), take a break for a week or two, then do another round, during which I'll hopefully reach my goal.

They must have known something was up!:) Failure week. Up 2.2 pounds, off track for much of the week. Down 6.4 pounds over 8 weeks.

Was traveling with kids, then knew I'd be camping with L, and decided to give in early. I feel terrible about the money going to the NRA, but have vowed that this will be the last cent they receive! The horror of failure diminishes a bit over time and I need to get back the magnitude of the consequence. When I told the friend I was camping with that the NRA would be getting money, she was duly horrified. Having "freedom" for close to a week didn't feel as good as I thought it would. It felt mostly unhealthy and I feel larger--not really such a wonderful thing to strive for.

They told me to "nudge" you. How's it going?
